To answer your original question, Veritas quant can be subtly more difficult that official quant and the verbal questions on Veritas tests are subtly different from the questions on official tests, while Manhattan questions are also subtly different from those on official tests, but in a way different from how the Veritas questions are different. IMO, comparing individual questions, especially in SC and CR, is biased as OG has some questions way harder than those of any test prep company and has some very easy questions. In RC, test prep companies, such as Magoosh, sometimes increase the passage size to increase difficulty level.For example, a typical short passage in OG has one paragraph, . For instance, mentioned are my scores from Veritas practice sets but my actual GMAT score is quite below the avg of Veritas Prep test. Similar for Kaplan. But it's also possible to work hard such that your 20-40 point range is a 680-720 rather than a 580-620. Your issue is more with how businesses schools use the test than the test itself. If a 720 gets scholarship money and a 710 does not, that's the school's policy, and it's a little silly.
